Damien Higginbotham

Damien has spent his entire life writing, so he's picked up a few tricks along the way to help you with your project. His services include script feedback, consulting and 'punch ups', as well as developing ideas and writing scripts on commission.

Damien has a graduate certificate and masters degree in screenwriting from the Australian Film Television Radio School (AFTRS), Australia's leading film school. He has studied US, UK and Australian TV markets, and has a breadth of knowledge about the different networks and streaming service formats.

His writing has been featured on the ABC, and his TV comedy series Subscribe! has been optioned in the UK. He has also worked on a TV project in development at NBC Universal, doing 'punch ups' on the script. His recent script The Administrators is a semifinalist in the ScreenCraft Comedy Screenplay Competition.

 

His interest is in TV comedy, but the fundamentals of screenwriting can be applied to any genre or format. Damien specialises in story structure, character development, punching up dialogue, and exploring the story world and themes of a project.
